Our trip to the Farmers Market in Orange, CA on Saturday

Terri at the Farmers Market
We had not been to our local Farmers Market. It's held on Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Chapman University. We saw a flier for a pet fair to be held at the Farmers Market on Saturday so we decided to go. They also had people who would watch you pet while you walked through the food areas. Pearl loves to be watched by others.

We noticed two vendors who identified themselves as "Organic Farms." So we decided to buy a couple of items to try. We bought some green kale and some Asian celery. The woman at the booth told us that the celery was hard to grow and that it was good for juicing. We only paid a dollar for the celery.

I encourage you to look for a Farmers Market in your area and take a look at what they have to offer. We were impressed by the variety and quality of the fruit and veggies. In previous Farmers Markets that we have gone to you can't find things like bok choy or swiss chard. Also watch to see if they are organic.

Now even some grocery store chains such as Albertsons and Walmart are selling organic veggies and fruits.
